Privacy Policy

Short version: I collect the minimum needed to reply to you and do the work. I don't sell your data. I don't run retargeting pixels. If you ever want your data deleted, email me and it's gone.

Who we are

claudeaiexpert.com is a personal brand operated by Ashikur Rahman, an SEO operator based in Bangladesh, working with founders and businesses globally. The site offers website design, technical SEO, and AI search optimization services.

For the purposes of GDPR, CCPA, and similar privacy laws, Ashikur Rahman is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and the services offered on it. You can reach me at contact@claudeaiexpert.com for any privacy-related question.

Information we collect

I try to collect the minimum amount of information needed to respond to you and deliver the services you've hired me for. Specifically:

Information you give me directly

Contact form and email: your name, email address, company or practice name, and the message you send me.
Booking data: if you book a call through Calendly, your name, email, timezone, and the date/time you selected. Calendly processes this on my behalf.
WhatsApp messages: if you reach me on WhatsApp, the phone number and message content you send.
Payment information: if you become a client, payment details you send through Payoneer, Wise, direct bank transfer, or whichever method we agree on. I don't store card or bank account numbers on this website.
Project information: during an engagement, I'll receive access credentials to your WordPress, hosting, Search Console, Google Business Profile, or other accounts as needed for the work.

Information collected automatically

Analytics data: pages you visit, time on page, device type, country, and approximate city, collected via Google Analytics 4.
Server logs: IP address, browser user-agent, and timestamps, kept briefly for security and anti-abuse purposes by the hosting provider.
Cookies and local storage: small files your browser stores so the site remembers your preferences. See section 5 below.

How we use your information

To respond to you. If you fill out a form or send an email, I use your contact information to reply.
To deliver the services you hired me for. During a paid engagement, I use project access credentials, content, and briefs you provide to do the work.
To send invoices and collect payment. I share your invoice email with Payoneer, Wise, or whichever payment method we agreed on. I don't use your payment information for anything else.
To improve the site. Aggregate analytics helps me see which pages are working and which aren't. I don't look at individual-level visitor data.
To comply with the law. If I'm legally required to retain or disclose information, I do only what's strictly required.

I do not use your information for retargeting ads, selling to third parties, building marketing audiences, or training AI models.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

Strictly necessary cookies, needed for the site to work (e.g. WordPress session, cache, security). These cannot be disabled.
Analytics cookies, set by Google Analytics 4 to measure page views and aggregated traffic patterns. You can opt out using Google's analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.

I do not use ad targeting cookies, retargeting pixels, cross-site tracking, or session recording tools.

AI tools and Claude

I'm transparent about the fact that I use Claude (the AI assistant from Anthropic, PBC) and Claude Code during client work for refactors, content drafts, and technical scaffolding.

What this means for your data:

I only send Anthropic the content or code strictly needed to complete the specific task.
I use Claude in a way that respects Anthropic's data usage policies; client API conversations are not used to train models.
I never send Anthropic your passwords, credentials, personally identifiable health information, or other clearly sensitive fields.
Every AI-drafted output is reviewed by me before it ships.

If you have an objection to AI tools being used in your engagement, tell me during the discovery call and we'll scope the project without them. There may be a pricing implication.

Data retention

Contact form and email conversations, kept as long as needed to serve you, typically up to 3 years after last contact.
Client project data and access credentials, kept for the duration of the engagement and securely destroyed within 30 days of project completion, unless you've retained me on an ongoing retainer.
Invoice and payment records, retained for 7 years for tax and accounting compliance.
Analytics data, retained per Google Analytics default settings (14 months).

You can ask me to delete your data earlier (see section 8).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have one or more of the following rights under laws like GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA (California), or similar:

Right to know what personal data I hold about you.
Right to access a copy of your data.
Right to correct inaccurate or outdated data.
Right to deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations).
Right to object to certain kinds of processing.
Right to data portability for data you've given me directly.
Right to withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@claudeaiexpert.com. I'll respond within 30 days. You will never be charged, and I will never penalize you for exercising these rights.

International data transfers

I'm based in Bangladesh, but I work with clients primarily in the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Canada, Australia, and the rest of the world. Some of the service providers I use (Google, Calendly, Anthropic, Payoneer, Wise) process data in the United States or other countries.

If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries that don't provide the same level of data protection as your home country. Where required, I rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and similar approved transfer mechanisms put in place by the underlying service providers.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect your information:

The website is served over HTTPS.
WordPress is kept updated, hardened with a web application firewall, and monitored for file-level integrity changes.
Client access credentials are stored in a password manager with 2FA, never in email or unencrypted notes.
I use strong, unique passwords and multi-factor authentication on every business account.

No system is perfectly secure. If I discover a breach affecting your data, I'll notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

Children's privacy

This site and its services are not directed to children under 16. I don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data here, email me and I'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the services, the providers I use, or applicable law. When that happens, I'll update the "Effective" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced in a visible notice at the top of the site for at least 30 days.
